What is gelato?
Gelato, which means frozen in Italian, is a denser and much more flavorful ice cream but with half the butterfat content than traditional American ice cream. Gelato is not whipped with air like regular ice cream which leaves you longing for flavor. Instead you are left with a dense and creamy consistency.
Our sorbeto has fresh fruits and is made with water instead of milk or cream and so it is light and full of flavor.
At Via Gelato & Cafe we make true artisan gelato which is made one pan at a time using only the freshest and finest ingredients. For our homemade gelato we use hormone-free milk, seasonal fresh fruits and is all natural with no additives or preservatives.
